Tomato Soup


There are some days when we want to eat something that is stomach-churning and healthy. Is there nothing better than a nice hot bowl of soup on a day like this?

Soup is always the best solution for those who are trying to lose weight and looking for healthy comfort food.. Most people associate soups with winter. But the soup is suitable for all seasons. The soup is super for winter nights, monsoon evenings and summer dinners! It is not only a remedy for colds, coughs and fevers, but also helps in weight loss. Tomato soup helps the body regain all the nutrients it lost. It cleanses the body and plays an important role in burning fat. The soup retains water in the body without ingesting too many calories and helps to keep you hungry for a while.

Here is a delicious tomato soup recipe that will help you lose weight.

You can add tomatoes and carrots to this soup and garnish with mint leaves. If you are a tomato soup lover, this is sure to stimulate your taste buds. This soup is low in energy and sodium. If you want a different taste, you can add some cream to it.


Ingredients

2 tablespoons olive oil


1 carrot, chopped


1 large or 2 medium onions, cut in half thinly


2 tablespoons tomato paste


800 g tomatoes peeled and peeled


1 bamboo fresh garden basil


2-3 cups water or tomato juice


1/4 cup chopped mint leaves to garnish


Preparation

1.) Take a large pot and heat oil in it over medium heat. When hot, add onion and carrot and season with salt and pepper. Stir well and cook till the vegetables are soft


2.) Add tomato paste to the pan and stir over low heat.

3.) Add garden basil along with the tomatoes. Or you can just add any other herb you like. Stir frequently until tomatoes are tender (10-15 minutes).

Add 2 cups water or juice and bring to a boil. Adjust the temperature. After a while you can see bubbles coming out of it.


4.) Adjust the flavor and consistency of the soup by adding any seasoning you like. If you like masala you can add some paprika in it.

Garnish with mint and serve.
